Specialty Programs
Florida Hospital Memorial Home Health Specialty Programs provide a formalized plan of care for each patient. These programs incorporate best practices and evidenced-based practices into a plan that is built on clinical excellence and old-fashioned caring. Our patients receive the care that helps them not only understand their illness but also achieve the best health possible.
Surgical Recovery Program
The Surgical Recovery Program is designed to meet the needs of the patient who needs clinical oversight and teaching during the post-operative recovery period post-hospitalization due to complex medical needs, elderly or no caregiver, and patients with high anxiety levels or complicated recovery. Services include nursing, and may also include aide and therapy visits, if indicated, over 2-3 weeks.

• assure personal care needs are met,
• assure patient has medications and understands why and when to take,
• assure understanding of exercise needs post-op and can safely resume activities
• understand when to seek medical care (nurse or physician intervention)
• the wound will heal without complications
• provide clinical oversight to recognize potential complications; patient has comfort level that clinical status is periodically assessed.
