I am thrilled to be part of Florida Hospital Memorial Home Health and excited about the wonderful services our staff provide for our patients in their home.   I believe that most of us would much rather recover at home than anywhere else, where we are surrounded by family, neighbors, friends and, of course, our beloved pets! 

Through technological advances, home-delivered health care has grown far beyond basic professional nursing and home care aide services.  Our agency offers an array of nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapies, home medical supplies and personal care as well as “hi-tech” care using telehealth monitors in the home.   Our staff combine care and compassion with cost effectiveness to keep our patients independent at home as long as it remains a safe environment for care.

As America ages, there are an increasingly greater number of people who prefer to receive services at home rather than an institution.  There is a trend towards use of technology to assist in providing quality care in an environment where caregivers are becoming scarcer as we age.  We are committed to utilizing technology to assist us and have implemented an electronic medical record so our staff have access to your homecare chart from a laptop in your home.  

A telehealth program was implemented in 2006 that allows the homecare patient to check their vital signs in the morning, and the information is available to our staff within a short time so we can monitor health status without making an actual visit.  Our telehealth program provides additional education and reminders to help manage many chronic diseases and reinforce the teaching that is provided by our clinicians.
